The mystery around the complex case of triple murders and an attempt to commit suicide allegedly, which were sent to Shockwaves across the city last month. On 19 February, three members of a family were found dead in their home in Tangra on the outskirts of Kolkata. The case came to light when the two brothers and the son of one of them crashed their car in a column, allegedly died of suicide. When he was questioned in the hospital, he disclosed the bodies in his house to the police.
Now, one of the brothers, Prasun Dey, has admitted that he killed the three-wife Romi Day, his 14-year-old daughter and sister-in-law Sudeshna Dey. During his question, it was found that a loan of Rs 16 crore could lead to murders.
Brothers – Pranay and Prasun Dey – Tangra lived with their wives in the house. Pranay’s son and Prasun’s daughter were other living in the house.
In his chilling testimony for the police, Mr. Day – a businessman – revealed that he had made an agreement with his wife, brother and brother’s wife for the first time, who died by committing suicide on shocking debt. The murders were a collapse of the unsuccessful suicide plan.
Suicide compromise causes murders
On February 17, the family of six was mixed with ‘offering’ (rice pudding) with sleeping pills, as quoted by Anandbazar PatrikaHowever, they all survived the next day. Sources said that this was when the brother and his wives moved to their plan B. They decided to help each other end their lives.

Later that night, Prasun Dey left home in a car with his brother and nephew. After 3 o’clock, his car hit a column. The brother later alleged that he took that step to die of suicide. The police also wants to record the statement of Pranoy Dey and took him into custody. He is currently being treated in a hospital for his injuries.
Prasun and Zoological Day were being treated at the state -run Nil Ratan Sarkar Medical College and Hospital under the police watch after maintaining injuries in an attempt to suicide.
’16 crore rupees loan’
Prasun Dey’s inquiry has also revealed that the family was in a big debt of Rs 16 crore. The brothers decided to take extreme steps due to this loan, Indian express report,
He said that EMI, close to Rs 47 lakh, became two of his two cars.
Prasun Dey was arrested yesterday after hours of interrogation by the Kolkata Police after his release from the hospital.
He was first produced before a court. The court sent him to police custody by 6 March.
