Priyanka Thakur, who is doing PhD in Law from Himachal Pradesh University, has been selected for Himachal Pradesh Judicial Service. He has secured tenth position in this examination and will be appointed as a sub-judge.
Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission has declared the State Judicial Service Examination result on Saturday. Priyanka Thakur had passed LLM examination in first division and is pursuing PhD. Apart from this, Priyanka has passed UGC NET.
Priyanka is from Kangra
Priyanka Thakur’s father Surjit Singh, resident of village Wadala in Indora tehsil of Kangra district, has retired from the post of Inspector in BSF and mother Shrishta Devi is a housewife. After passing LLB examination from Regional Studies Center of Himachal Pradesh University, Priyanka did LLM from here.

Priyanka says that if there is determination, one day success will definitely be achieved. Today there is an atmosphere of happiness not only in his family but in the entire village. Often daughters and disabled people are considered weak and ignored. But if they get support from family, society and teachers, daughters can reach any level.

Interviews were conducted for 10 posts by Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission from 5 to 7 December. Challenge Sagroli has become the topper in the examination. Praveen Lata remained at second place. Whereas, Divya Sharma captured the third place. Apart from this, Shavik Ghai, Anulekha Tanwar, Megha Sharma, Sheetal Gupta, Ritu Sinha, Shruti Bansal and Priyanka Devi have achieved success in the examination. All of them will become civil judges.
