Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has awarded seven new projects to industries under the Technology Development Fund Scheme for various requirements of the armed forces and aerospace and defense sectors. These project approvals are a testament to DRDO’s continuous effort in promoting industries, especially MSMEs and start-ups, in the defense and aerospace domain.
Indigenous development of these technologies will strengthen the military-industrial ecosystem. Indigenous Scenario and Sensor Simulation Toolkit The project involves the development of an indigenous toolkit for simulator training of pilots in realistic scenarios.
This will help in complete mission planning and major power involvement. The project has been awarded to start-up, Oxygen 2 Innovations Private Limited, Noida. The Underwater Launched Unmanned Aerial Vehicle project relates to versatile maritime battlefield support equipment that can be deployed in multiple combat roles.
Its purpose is Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) and Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA). This project has been awarded to Sagar Defense Engineering Private Limited, Pune. Long-range remotely operated vehicles for detection and neutralization are dual-use systems that will enable detection, classification, localization and neutralization of underwater objects while keeping key assets away. Suspicious operating area.
The project has been awarded to a start-up, IROV Technologies Private Limited, Kochi. The objective of the Development of Ice Detection Sensor for Aircraft project is to detect ice conditions during flight, which is caused by supercooled water droplets that freeze after their impact against the external surfaces of the aircraft and are detected by the aircraft in anti- Used to turn the icing mechanism. It has been awarded to Craftlogic Labs Private Limited, Bengaluru. The development of a radar signal processor with an active antenna array simulator project will enable the deployment of multiple target systems for testing and evaluation of multiple short-range aerial weapon systems.
It serves as the basic building block for larger radar systems. The project has been sanctioned to Data Patterns (India) Limited, Chennai. Development of Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System-based Timing Acquisition and Dissemination System project has been approved by Accord Software & Systems Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru.
Its objective is to enable indigenization of time acquisition and dissemination system, use of Indian constellations for time acquisition and development of a customized and flexible time system as per border requirements. Development of graphene-based smart and e-textiles for multifunctional wearable applications Start-up, Alohatech Pvt Ltd, Coimbatore has been approved for this project.
It will develop a process to make conductive thread and textile using graphene nanomaterials and conductive ink. The result will be advanced nanocomposite material-based e-textiles that will harness the inherent advantages for practical clothing applications.
