Privacy-centered web browser Dakdkgo announced the rollout of AI-Assisted answers on his search engine last week. This facility was still available in beta, but now the company is releasing it to all users. With this, users will be able to see a summary of an artificial intelligence (AI) of the queries made by Google’s AI overview feature. However, unlike Google Search, DuckDuckgo is allowing users to control the frequency of these answers, and they can choose to close them completely.
DuckDuckgo AI-Cassisted introduces answers
One in blog postDakdukgo CEO and founder Gabriel Wenberg announced new AI facilities. The most notable is the introduction of AI-ASSSTED answers, which shows a snapshot of information about the user discovered query. The company says it will enable users to find information at a glance.
However, many users do not prefer AI-borne summary, and instead enjoy traditional discovery experience. Users are lacking in choosing Google’s option whether they want to see AI overview, they have inspired them to find some unique ways to close them.
DuckDuckgo has taken a different approach instead and gave control to the user. By going to search settings and navigating for AI features, users can choose how many times they are shown to these summary. There are four options-not, on-demand, sometimes, and often. While never turns off the feature, on-demand users give granular control over these summary and they can generate AI-caseized answers by tapping a button on the search result page.
In the post, Venberg highlighted that often selection would show AI-Assisted answers to about 20 percent of questions. These AI-borne summits are shared anonymously to the AI ââmodel, and the company claims that a user’s “personal information is never exposed to third party.”
On the reliability of summons, the company throws light on that the information is sour through real -time web crawling. However, since duckDuckgo cannot control authenticity, AI-ASSISTED answers show the source from where the information was raised so that users could be allowed to decide.

In addition, Duck.ai (East was known as AI chat) is also getting a couple of upgrade. DuckDuckgo adds new AI models including Openai’s GPT-4o Mini and O3-Mini, and Meta LLAma 3.3. Additionally, a “recent chat” feature has also been added that users stores interaction with AI locally on the device. DuckDuckgo claimed that these conversations are not stored on its server or AI provider’s server.
