Millions of people in India use micro blogging platform X. If you are also in this platform then today’s news is for you. Elon Musk has banned millions of ActiveX accounts in India. The accounts which have been banned have been accused of violating company policy.
Let us tell you that ever since Elon Musk has taken command of this micro blogging platform, he has been upgrading it. Along with bringing new features, Musk has also tightened the company’s policy so that any kind of violence, fake news, fraud, scam news can be prevented from spreading on the platform. Now Musk has banned lakhs of accounts in India due to policy violation.
Strict action against lakhs of accounts
Musk has banned 194.053 accounts in India between May 26 and June 25. Most of these accounts have been accused of promoting child sexual exploitation and nudity. There are also about 1,991 banned accounts in this list which have been accused of spreading content promoting anti-terrorism on the platform. In this way, X has banned a total of 196,044 accounts during this period.
Let us tell you that the microblogging platform releases reports every month under the new IT Rules 2021. In its report, Ax said that around 12,570 complaints were received from May 26 to June 25. The company said that during this period the maximum number of complaints were regarding restriction violations (5289). And about 2,768 complaints were regarding sensitive adult content.
