Moscow:
Russian External Affairs Minister Sergei Lavarov said on Monday that he saw no reason for Europeans to attend Ukraine Trus talks, accused him of “wishes to continue war” in Ukraine.
Lavarov’s comments came forward from their visit to Saudi Arabia to meet American officials and European leaders called for an emergency summit in Ukraine in Paris, between the alarm in Moscow in the diplomatic outreach of Washington.
“I don’t know what they will do on the conversation table … If they are going to sit on the table of conversation for the purpose of the ongoing war, why invite them there?”
The experienced Foreign Minister said that Europe had a “chance” in solving the struggle since 2014-when Russia canceled the Crimean Peninsula and in the past supported the Russian pro-armed separatists-and that the block had failed .
The United States has said that it wants both Russia and Ukraine to give concessions if the ceasefire talks become physical at any time.
But Lavarov insisted that Moscow would not compromise on the seized area in eastern and southern Ukraine, saying that it could not even be “thought” during the conversation.
In 2022, the Kremlin claimed that four Ukrainian regions – Lugonsk, Donnetsk, Kherson and Zaporizhjia – despite their complete control.
