New Delhi:
The BJP’s victory in the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 took almost three decades to win, but its scale and access have changed the ideas about the party’s acceptance between many caste and religious groups on their heads. Being an India in the Delhi micro world, the results also bring hope for many people for party opportunities among these groups in their home states.
The acceptance of the BJP between the Scheduled Castes and the other backward castes has been strongly questioned by the Congress, which has supported it with the demand for caste census. The BJP, in the past, has set a long way to win the OBC back, especially in Maharashtra and some other states.
Delhi’s results show that 22 OBC candidates of BJP, 16 have won. The party has also won all seven seats that have more than 10 percent OBC population.
Candidates of Haryana and Purvanchal also saw widespread approval. Of the 14 Haryanvi candidates, 12 won and four of the six priest candidates won.
Out of 13 seats with more than 5 percent of Haryanvi voters, BJP won 12. In addition, out of 35 seats with more than 15 percent of priest voters, BJP won 25 seats, inspiring Prime Minister Narendra Modi to thank Purvanchali voters. As an MP from Purvanchal “.
The party, which lost the final assembly elections in Punjab, also won three out of four seats, including more than 10 percent Sikh voters. Out of 28 seats with more than 10 percent Punjabi voters, BJP won 23.
Valmiki and Jatav left its strike rate on seats with a part of voters, however, left space for improvement. Out of nine seats with more than 10 percent of Valmiki voters, BJP won four out of 10 percent Jatav voters and four out of 12 seats, the party won six.
Four of the 12 Scheduled Castes BJP candidates have won.
The BJP has also made a huge part in those seats which have two neighbors said that this rule – Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Of the total 22 seats sharing borders with the neighboring states, the BJP won seven out of 13 seats, to the limit and nine out of 11 seats, which was Haryana’s border.
However, elections in Delhi have been observed by rhetoric on caste. The national capital attracts people of all states, castes and economic levels who come in search of a better future – a factor that can override their other identities.
Thus the BJP’s major victory is seen as a sign of widespread acceptance and a reflection of Delhi’s will for better rule as its dissatisfaction with AAP.
In his victory speech for party employees today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the result in Delhi is the victory of “Vikas, Vision and Vishwas (Vikas, Vishwas)”.
He said, “Delhi has given us love and I want to assure them that your love will come back as development. Their love, we trust in us is a responsibility that Delhi’s double engine government will fulfill,” he said.
