New York:
International criminal court prosecutor Karim Khan was killed with economic and travel sanctions authorized by US President Donald Trump, which targets the War Crime Tribunal on investigating US citizens or American colleagues.
Khan, who is British, was nominated in an attachment on Monday for an executive order signed by Trump last week. Reuters reported on Friday that Khan was nominated by Washington.
Trump included the restrictions of repeating action during their first term, including the cold of American property of people that prevent them and their families from going to the United States.
The ICC condemned the sanctions on Friday, promised to stand up by its employees and “continued to provide justice and millions of innocent victims of atrocities worldwide, in all situations before.”
Court officials met in Hague on Friday to discuss the implications of sanctions.
The International Criminal Court, which was opened in 2002, has a genocide, crimes against membership and international jurisdiction to refer to crimes against war crimes or a situation by the United Nations Security Council.
Under an agreement between the United Nations and Washington, Khan must be able to visit New York regularly to abstract cases to the United Nations Security Council that he referred to court in Hague. The Security Council has referred to the situations in the Darfur region of Libya and Sudan for the ICC.
“We are confident that under the United Nations Headquarters Agreement, any ban against individuals with the obligations of the host country will be continuously implemented,” said by Deputy United Nations spokesman Farhan Haq on Friday.
