Kilifish, or egg -laying toothcraps, are known for their ecological adaptability and diversity of species. Two families of Kilifish are present in Europe today: highly species-rich Aphaniidae and relatively species-poor volcanes, with only three species. How these differences arose in the variety of species are one of the questions that examine the group of Professor Bettina Reichenbackers.
