Rennes, France:
A former surgeon is to go on testing in France on Monday, accused of raping or sexually assaulting about 300 pre -patients, most of which are children.
74 -year -old Joel Le Scornenek, already in jail after a court in 2020, found him guilty of abusing four children, including his two nieces.
In the latest test, for the last four months, he faces allegations that he attacked or raped 299 patients, waking up from several anesthetic or during post-up checkups, in a dozen hospitals between 1989 and 2014.
Overall, 256 of 299 victims were under 15 years of age, the youngest one and the oldest 70 years of age.
The test is likely to be a new shock for France.
The French Dominic Pelicott was convicted for recruiting dozens of strangers for raping his heavy -enhanced wife Gissle Pelicot, only two months later, which has divorced her since then and has been embarrassed. Has become a feminist hero to deny.
In this case, Le Scornenek is the only defendant accused of crimes against hundreds of victims.
The test will be conducted publicly in the city city in the western region of Brittany, but seven days of testimony from the victims that were targeted, while minors would be placed behind the closed doors.
If convicted, the Le Scornene has to face a maximum punishment of 20 years in the jail – the French law does not allow the sentences to be added even when many suffer.
‘Collective failure’
The surgeon practiced for decades until his retirement despite the 2005 sentence was raising their concerns despite being the owner of the sexual derogatory images of children and colleagues.
Le Scournec was practicing in the western city of Loriand in 2004 when FBI alerted the French authorities that he was one of the hundreds of people in France, consulting with sexual exploitation images of online children online.
In a nearby veins, a court suspended him for four months jail sentence next year.
But by that time, the doctor had already moved forward to work in another Britney city, Quimple, where the management was promoted despite informing them about his trust.
He then moved to South -West France, where he worked till his retirement in 2017.
After retiring in 2017, investigators exposed their alleged crimes when a six -year -old girl accused her of rape and police found accounts of misconduct in her diary.
Advocates of victims and child rights say that the case exposes systemic deficiencies that allowed Le Scornene to repeatedly commit sexual offenses.
French advocacy group La Voice de Lorphant (The Frauded voice) lawyer Frederick Benoist said Le Scouurkek was never stopped from practice, the result of “collective failure”.
A separate investigation has been opened by the regional prosecutors on these failures, although it is not yet targeting any person or institute.
