Google is making some changes in Gemini. On Friday, one of the changes focused on the lexicon of Gemini tools, while the other Artificial Intelligence (AI) improves the chatbot’s ability to connect with various apps. The company is currently rolling this update for all Google Western accounts, although the attempt to naming applies to all users. Mountain view-based tech giants are now calling Gemini extensions “apps”, this is likely to make it a more integrated experience for users.

What Google is doing here, users are believing that Gemini AI is now connected to the apps now, rather than using a separate extension for it. This makes Gemini’s offerings more integrated, and when they access the chatbot to one of the apps, it will also make users less apprehensive. The second feature is more interesting. These “apps” (eastly known as extension) will now be operated by Gemini 2.0 flash thinking (experimental). Google says that this will allow AI to “perform better performance and better advanced logic abilities with efficiency and speed.”
In the real world experience, this Gemini accessory should translate to complete the more complex app-based tasks and vaguely understand the orders of the word. These better abilities will be powered by 2.0 flash thinking, which is a logic-focused AI model.
