Google Rolls Out February 2025 Update for Pixel Phones With Bug Fixes


Google rolled out the February 2025 patch for pixel devices on Wednesday. Over-the-air (OTA) update, which is available for the company’s latest Pixel 9 series, Pixel Tablet and other old devices running Android 15, bring fix for issues related to audio and Bluetooth. In addition, it also includes a safety patch that in addition to bringing functional improvements, cures vulnerability in the software that is declared as significant severity.

On a support PageThe Google community manager expanded the characteristics of the Pixel update for February 2025 with the build number ap4A.250205.002 for the global model. Meanwhile, Pixel devices tied to T-Mobile, Telstra and EMEA come with additional identifier C1, B2 and A1 respectively. According to Changelog, the patch fixes a problem, which affected the audio output in Android auto under certain conditions on devices ranging from Pixel 6 to Pixel 9 Pro folds.

It also fixes another bug that was sometimes reported to prevent a relationship with some Bluetooth instruments or accessories. However, the issue was called exclusive for the Pixel 9 series and is decided with an update of February 2025.

In addition to bug fixes, Changelog states that updates bundle a security patch for a general vulnerability and exposure (CVE). The identifier is listed with the CVE-2024-53842 which affected the baseband sub-component and is patching with updates. The CVE was listed as “important” in seriousness.
