Misbah also has the credit of being the oldest captain to score a century in Test. In 2016, as captain, he scored a century against England at the age of 42 years and 47 days. By scoring 114 runs in the Test held at Lord’s, he broke the record of Australia’s Bob Simpson’s century at the age of 41 years and 359 days.

Misbah’s performance against India in every format of cricket has been excellent. This Pakistani batsman, who scored 464 runs (one century) against India in three Tests at an average of 116.00, scored 550 runs at an average of 39.28 in 17 ODIs against India and 96 runs at an average of 48.00 (strike rate 131.50) in two T20Is. . He played both these T20s against India in the 2007 World Cup held in South Africa. In the ODI World Cup, Misbah scored 132 runs at an average of 66.00 in two matches against India (2011 and 2015). In 2011, he scored 56 runs at a strike rate of 73.68 and in 2015, he scored 76 runs at a strike rate of 90.47 and was out as the last wicket.
