According to the company’s teaser, the HMD Barbie Flip phone will soon be available in India. The phone was initially launched in some areas in August 2024. The global version of HMD Barbie Flip Phone has a 2.8-inch QVGA main screen and 1.77-inch QQVGA cover display, which doubles as a mirror. It is combined with 64MB RAM and 128MB onboard storage by an Unisoc T107 SoC. The phone also has a 0.3-megapixel rear camera and an LED flash unit.
The Barbie flip phone of HMD is introduced in a power pink shed, obviously. Barbie pink is highlighted in darkness in the palm tree, heart and flamingo motifs hidden in the keypad. When the phone turns on, a “hi barbie” voice welcomes users. The phone runs with a Barbie-themed UI on the S30+ OS. It comes with a pre-installed beach-themed Malibu snake game.
The phone packs 1,450mAh removable battery, which is said to talk to nine hours on a charge. Along with the battery -the charger that ships with HMD Barbie flip phone is pink in color. It supports 4G, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5 mm audio jack and USB Type-C connectivity. In the US, it is priced at $ 129 (about Rs 10,800).
