Now there is still doubt whether Team India will cross the border for the Champions Trophy or not. But Pakistan’s veteran cricketer Wasim Akram has expressed hope that India will definitely come to Pakistan to participate in the tournament.

Wasim Akram expressed hope of India coming to Pakistan and said, “I am hoping that the Indian team comes to Pakistan to play the Champions Trophy. Our entire country is excited to host all the other teams and they will be given a grand welcome.” Akram also told that Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has started efforts for the improvement of the grounds. Work has also been started on stadiums in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. He hopes that this is going to be a great tournament.

Pakistan needs this tournament

Compared to other Pakistani cricketers, Wasim Akram is very popular in India and often comes to India to commentate in matches.
