To verify your EPF balance, you must have your universal account number (UAN) active with your employer. Employees engaged in the EPF scheme are assigned a UAN, which serves as their unique identity numbers.
Here’s how to see your PF balance online with UAN number:
step 1: Click ‘Service’ under ‘Service’ for employees for ‘services’ for ‘services’ at the top of the EPF portal page.
step 2: In the ‘Seva’ section, select ‘Member Passbook’.
step 3: You will be taken to a new page. Key in your password and UAN. Sign in after completing the captcha. If you do not know the password then go to the UAN portal. Click on ‘forgotten password’ on the login screen, then follow the instructions of the site.
step 4: Your Aadhaar-linked phone number will get an OTP of six digits.
Step 5: After entering OTP, click on ‘verified’. Your PF account balance will be shown on the screen.
Before using the EPFO ​​portal to check your EPF balance, make sure that the following conditions are fulfilled:
– You can see your EPF balance only after your UAN is active and registered on the EPFO ​​portal.
– After registering on the EPFO ​​portal, you will have six hours to see the passbook.
– The most recent entries that EPFO ​​Field offices have consolidated will be displayed in the passbook.
– Members of private trusts and exemption establishments are unable to reach their EPFO ​​balance check on the EPFO ​​portal.
