The new service, called India Bill Pay, enables users to pay more than 21,000 bills in India. This includes utility bills, students loans, school charges and hospital fees. Beacon has participated with India Connect (BBPS) and Yes Bank to offer this spontaneous solution for cross -border bill payment.
The purpose of Service of Becon’s India Bill is to make it easier for NRIs (NRIs) to bring back their financial obligations home. Earlier, NRI had to rely on the basis of family and friends to maintain NRI accounts or pay their bills in India.
The Seva Reserve Bank of India (RBI) works under the Drawing Arrangement (RDA), ensuring that the foreign exchange payment is converted to Indian rupees smoothly and settled with Indian beneficiaries.
Aditya Mahatre, co-founder of beacon, said, “We have rebuilt the simplicity of paying bills in India, but have been designed for NRI using foreign currency.”
He said that the app ends the need to send money abroad for bill payment.
The India’s India Bill also provides an auto-patch facility for the bill amount and sends a reminder for timely payment.
This service, supported by the infrastructure of YES Bank, ensures safety and compliance with RBI rules.
The partnership with Bharat Connect (East BBPS) simplifies the collection and disposal of bill payment, making the process safe and efficient.
This service is a part of the broad mission of beacon to provide extensive financial solutions to immigrants, allowing them to manage their finance across the boundaries.
