Human genetics provides clues why DNA regulatory sectors get ‘loop’

DNA transcription is the first important step required to switch to our genes. To switch a gene, it must be functioned by an enzyme called RNA polymerase. It is a molecular machine that can read DNA and create a matching strand of RNA that is then used to make protein. RNA connects a region just before the polymerase gene, called a promoter, before taking DNA under the gene.
