A round of huge discounts have started in the electric vehicle market. Nexon EV and XUV400 EV are getting a discount of up to 3 lakhs. Two-wheelers are being given a discount of 10 percent to 20 percent.
New Delhi. If you are thinking of buying electric vehicles (EV), then it is the right time right now. Right now the electric vehicle (EV) market is running a discount season, whether it is electric cars or two-wheelers. Growing stocks, cheap components and government policies have made it possible. Popular electric cars like Nexon EV and XUV400 EV are being given a discount of up to Rs 3 lakh.
Electric two-wheelers are seeing huge discounts. For example, a cash discount of Rs 25,000 and Rs 10,000 is being given on Hero MotoCorp Vida V1 Pro and Vida V1 Plus respectively. Even e-commerce platform Flipkart is getting a discount of 2,500 to 5,000 rupees on EVS. The Ather Resa is getting benefits ranging from Rs 3,000 to 6,700. Ather 450 has a discount of Rs 5,000 to 7,000. Almost all electric two-wheelers have discounts according to different models and variants.
Participation of dealer and IMS
The major part of the exemption on EV is being borne by the original equipment manufacturers, while the dealership is also contributing. The exchange bonus can go up to Rs 15,000 and trade discounts are getting from 3,000 to 5,000. Experts associated with the industry believe that this exemption is the result of the remaining schemes of the festive season.

Experts say that the pace of EV sales globally has slowed down slightly, however, it is expected to become a new record of sales this year. According to ICRA, the share of the EV market will reach 5.5 per cent in FY25 of FY22 and by 2030, by 2030, there can be 25 per cent in two-wheelers and up to 15 per cent in passenger vehicles. A major reason for the discount is corporate average fuel efficiency (CAFE) norms, which forces companies to make more fuel-ficious vehicles. This makes EVS more economical.
Explain that this discount can vary throughout India. If you want to buy any vehicle offline, then be sure only after confirming the exemption from your nearest dealer.
