This new initiative is ready to guide how CSR funds in CPSES 2024-25.
For the current financial year, according to the PTI report, CPSES will focus on two main areas: health and nutrition and recently launched PM’s internship plan.
CPSES traditionally adopt a theme-based approach to their CSR expenditure, 60% of their funds are directed to a specified subject each year.
The Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme was announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitarman in the Union Budget for 2024-25, which aims to provide internship opportunities to 10 million young Indians aged 21-24 years in the next five years.
The initiative tries to increase youth employment by combining them with top companies in various fields. Candidates can register themselves on the portal via https://pminternship.mca.gov.in.

The internship starting in December 2024 will be a year -long program under a pilot project. 800 crores.
During the pilot phase, 125,000 candidates are expected to be covered by the end of March 2025.
A monthly stipend of intern will be received 5,000, with 4,500 funded by the government and 500 contributed by companies using their CSR budget. Interns will also get a one -time grant 6,000 more life insurance coverage during internship.

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has started registering companies and intern for the scheme.
Applicants can enroll on the portal by 25 October, with shortlisting and selection processes can be determined to follow in late October and early November.
