New Delhi. The sales of luxury car manufacturing company BMW Group India in India have increased by 21 percent in the first half of 2024. BMW Group India sells cars under the BMW and Mini brands in India. At the same time, BMW sells bikes under Motorrad. In the first half, 6,734 cars were sold under the BMW brand and 364 cars under the Mini brand. At the same time, BMW Motorrad has sold 3,614 motorcycles. The company has sold 397 electric cars during this period.

The company said that BMW is the first luxury car company to sell 2,000 electric vehicles so far. BMW iX is the best selling luxury electric car in India. More than 1,000 units have been sold. There has been a growth of more than 17 percent in the BMW luxury class vehicle segment. Its contribution to total sales is 18 percent.

BMW X7 is the best selling luxury model. Vikram Pahwa, President, BMW Group India, said that the strong attraction towards our vehicles along with our competitive edge has inspired us to innovate in driving.

BMW Sports Activity Vehicles (SAV) contributed 54 percent to sales. An increase of 24 percent has been seen in this. The BMW X1 is the company’s most popular SAV. Its share in sales is 19 percent. BMW 3 Series is the company’s best selling sedan car. Its contribution in sales is 17 percent.
