Iran’s Foreign Minister will start his first visit to New Delhi tonight. On Thursday, he will meet his counterpart Jaishankar, and together, he will co-incomplete the 20th Joint Commission meeting between India and Iran.
This year’s meeting is held at a time when New Delhi and Tehran are celebrating the 75th anniversary of the India-Iran Dosti Treaty. In the bilateral meeting, the two sides will discuss the entire gamal of the relationship, discover new possibilities and strengthen the current relationship.
While the Joint Commission is going to get every year, the Kovid -19 epidemic of the two countries and domestic prior businesses have led to a gap in its meetings. The Iranian embassy in New Delhi posted on X, “The latest status of implementation of bilateral economic agreements between the two countries will be reviewed and followed.”

Iran has strongly condemned the religiously inspired terrorist attack in Kashmir by Pakistan -linked terrorists. In a statement issued by the Foreign Minister himself, Tehran said, “Iran strongly and unevenly condemns the terrorist attack against tourists in Pahgam. Our thoughts and prayers are with innocent victims and their families. We expand our heartfelt condolences to people and the government of India.”
Iran has also expressed concern over the growing military tensions between India and Pakistan, urging both sides to practice restraint. Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmel Bagi said that Tehran has long ties with both New Delhi and Islamabad and see the current situation with serious concern.
He hoped that both the nation would take steps to prevent the situation from deteriorating further.
Earlier this week, Sri Argchi visited Pakistan, led a political delegation and held meetings with his Pakistani counterpart Ishaq Dar.
