India ranks 12th among the most powerful countries in the world.
Forbes has released its 2025 list of the 10 most powerful countries in the world, leading the United States of America, followed by China in second place and Israel made the list at tenth. Ranking is based on many important factors including leadership, economic impact, political power, great international alliances and military strength. As ForbesThis ranking method has been developed by researchers in the BAV group, headed by Professor David Ribstein of Wharton School at Pennsylvania University, and is associated with the US News and World Report.
Below are the top 10 most powerful nations in the world in 2025, as well as standing in India’s list and ranking:
- The US stood at the top of the rank with a GDP of $ 30.34 trillion and is with a population of 34.5 million.
- China is the second most powerful country, with a $ 19.53 trillion GDP and a population of 1.419 billion.
- Russia is third in the list of the world’s most powerful countries, with a population of $ 2.2 trillion GDP and 84 million.
- The United Kingdom ranks fourth in the list this year, with a GDP of $ 3.73 trillion and a population of 69 million.
- Germany is ranked fifth in the list. It has an $ 4.92 trillion economy and has a population of 8.54 crores.
- Due to the combination of economic power, technical progress and military power, South Korea is ranked sixth in the list. It has a $ 1.95 trillion GDP and a population of 5.17 crores.
- France is the seventh most powerful country in the world, with GDP of $ 3.28 trillion and a population of 6.65 crores.
- Japan is also painted in the list. With a GDP of $ 4.39 trillion and a population of 12.37 million, it is ranked eighth this year.
- Saudi Arabia finished ninth, GDP of $ 1.14 trillion and ninth place with a population of 3.39 crore.
- Israel has been ranked tenth in this year’s list. It has a population of $ 550.91 billion and 93.8 lakhs.
