Congress MP Shashi Tharoor said on Friday that Jamia Millia Islamia University decided to leave Kerala capital Thiruvananthapuram from its examination centers list and would create problems for students.
The Lok Sabha MP of Thiruvananthapuram said that the decision to leave the only center of Jamia Millia Islamia in the south has been taken without any clarification.
“No clarification has been given to anyone, at least students. We had 550 students who were appearing in Thiruvananthapuram last year. Where will this year’s students go? Until they (Jamia Millia Islamia) do not want students from South. This is a very low-vision decision,” Mr. Tharoor told reporters here as well as reporters here.
Stating that he would write to the Vice Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia to register his protest, the senior Congress leader said, “It has to be changed. We have to think about ourselves as a country and not only remain in our small field.
