New Delhi. To create a stir in the cheap smartphone market, the Taiwanese company is soon going to enter India. This veteran laptop and PC manufacturing company has signed an agreement with India’s Indical Technology. Both the companies have announced their agreement on Thursday. It is believed that the company’s first product will be launched in the Indian market this year itself.
Domestic technology company Indkal Technologies has announced its entry into the smartphone market under a trademark licensing agreement with Taiwanese company Acer Inc. Acer laptops are already quite popular in the market. According to the company’s statement, under this agreement Indical will design, manufacture and distribute smartphones under the Acer brand in India.

When will it be launched and what will be the price?
According to the company’s announcement, Acer and Indacle are preparing to launch their first smartphone in the Indian market this year. The company believes that their products are being launched targeting the cheap smartphone market. They will compete with companies like Xiaomi, Vivo and Oppo. The company has said that the price of its product will be kept between Rs 15,000 and Rs 50,000.
Taiwan’s technology will be made in India
Anand Dubey, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Indkal Technologies, said, ‘With Acer smartphones, we are confident that Indian consumers will get a great experience. All the smartphones of Acer brand will be designed and manufactured in India which is also a big achievement for Indical. He said that Acer brand smartphones will be made in India under the government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative.

Jade Zhou, Vice President, Global Strategic Alliances, Acer Inc. said, ‘The goal of the Acer brand has been to break down the barriers between people and technology. Indical Technologies will take this mission forward in India by launching a wide range of smartphones under the Acer brand.
