Maa Chandraghanta Aarti Navratri 3rd Day: 11th April is the third day of Navratri. On the third day of Navratri, the third form of Mother Goddess Chandraghanta is duly worshipped. According to the scriptures, this form of Mother Durga is extremely peaceful and beneficial. An hourglass-shaped crescent moon is present on the forehead of Mata Rani, hence the name of the mother was Chandraghanta. Maa Chandraghanta’s rider is a lion. Apart from lotus and kamdandal, there are four weapons in the ten hands. Their identity is the half moon on their forehead. There is a garland of white flowers around her neck and a jewel studded crown on top. Mother Chandraghanta remains seated in a war posture. It is believed that worshiping Mother Chandraghanta brings peace to the mind. By worshiping the third form of Goddess Durga one experiences supreme power. Pindjapravararudha chandakopastrakaryuta.
Prasadam tanute mahyam chandraghanteti vishruta.
Offering to Maa Chandraghanta- Saffron kheer and sweets made of milk should be offered to Mother Chandraghanta. Apart from this, Panchamrit, sugar and sugar candy are offered to Mata Rani.
