When is Mahalaxmi Vrat starting?
According to Drik Panchang, the Ashtami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month is starting on 10th September at 11:11 pm and will end the next day on 11th September 2024 at 11:46 pm. Therefore, according to Udayatithi, Mahalakshmi Vrat will start from 11th September 2024. The festival of Radha Ashtami will also be celebrated on this special day. This year Mahalakshmi Vrat will start on 11th September during Ayushman Yoga and Preeti Yoga. Mahalakshmi fast will be completed on 24 September 2024.
Mahalakshmi fast: method of worship
Wake up early in the morning on the day of Mahalakshmi fast. Wear clean clothes after bathing. Clean the home temple. Collect puja materials in a clean plate. Spread a red cloth on a small stool. Now install the idol of Goddess Lakshmi. After this, collect all the puja materials including chunari, coconut, sandalwood, flowers, intact fruits and fruits of Goddess Lakshmi. Light a lamp in front of Goddess Lakshmi. Install the Kalash as per the rituals. Offer sixteen makeup items to Goddess Lakshmi. Chant the Beej Mantras of Goddess Lakshmi. After this, perform the aarti of Goddess Lakshmi and the aarti of all the gods and goddesses. Ask for forgiveness for any mistake committed knowingly or unknowingly during puja. Finally, distribute the Prasad to all the people present at the puja place along with the family members.
