Maharashtra suspended bus services to Karnataka after an attack on driver


Bus services will not be resumed until Karnataka makes a clear stand. (Representation)


Mumbai:

Maharashtra Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik on Saturday ordered Karnataka to suspend state transport buses after attacking the MSRTC bus.

Shri Sarnaik said that Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus, traveling from Bangalore to Mumbai, was attacked by pro -Konnad activists on Friday night in Chitradurg, Karnataka.

He said that the driver of driver Bhaskar Jadhav also blackened and assaulted him, the minister said.

Shri Sarnaik said that the bus services will not be resumed until the Karnataka government explains on the issue.
