According to a report by Bloomberg, the meta is working on a pair of smart glasses that can reach as a more advanced version of Ray-Ban Meta Glasses. These glasses are internally referred to as hypernova, the apps and media have a screen facility to view, and can be controlled using hand gestures. A second generation model is also allegedly in development, as the company is working towards its goal of launching a commercial version of its advanced project Orion Smart Glasses which was shown in 2024.

A Bloomberg Report Citing conscious people about the company’s plans, it has been said that Meta has planned to unveil the advanced version of its successful Ray-Bain Meta Chashma, which has been named Hypernova. These smart glass are called equipped with a single screen located in the “Lower Right IV of the right lens”. The performance will allow users to see the app or photo through their right eye, allegedly looking down.
Users can control the weaker by using hand gestures when wearing “nerve restband”, which is codename cress. This can ship with accessible weekeble, and is said to allow users to rotate their hands, or use pinch gestures to scroll and choose the content in the application respectively.
The alleged meta hypernova will run on the “highly customized” version of Smart Glass Android, and the convenience of an integrated app store is unlikely. In addition to the gestures of the first mentioned hand, the glasses will allegedly support swipe and tap touch control over arms.
In addition to capturing videos and images, the meta hypernova smart glasses will provide users access to home screen with access to certain apps. Users can also see photos that they have captured, through another app.
Hypernova glasses will allow users to see the direction through a maps app, and will look at their WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger information on their smartphone. The device can be equipped with a snapdragon chip, as the Qualcomm logo is one of the images displayed while booting the device.
According to Bloomberg, hypernova can be priced between $ 1,000 (about 85,600 rupees) and $ 1,400 (about Rs 1,19,800). It is quite a jump from the first-Je-Je-Ban Meta Glasses, which starts at $ 299 (about Rs 25,600) in the US.
The company is also allegedly working on the heir of the weelable equipped with two displays, and Hypernova 2 can be launched in 2027. Another pair of smart glasses – codenmed supernova 2 – is called in development for “athletic use” in partnership with Okla. There is no word when the supernova 2 glass is launched.
