One India-One Ticket: Indian Railways and Delhi Metro have decided to work together to provide comfortable travel to the passengers. This is being considered an important step towards realizing the dream of ‘One India – One Ticket’. It is a matter of happiness for the passengers that they will also be able to book QR code tickets of Delhi Metro through IRCTC app and website. They will not have to worry in the metro station.
IRCTC, Metro and CRIS joined hands
To carry out this work, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), Delhi Metro (DMRC) and Center for Railway Information System (CRIS) have joined hands. With the launch of this facility, railway as well as Delhi Metro tickets in Delhi NCR region can be booked from a single app. Indian Railways informed on Wednesday that the launch of this facility is going to happen very soon. Like the Railways, passengers will also be able to book metro tickets 120 days in advance. This will be valid for 4 days. Every customer will get a QR code. This will help you in travel planning.
You can book metro tickets through IRCTC
QR code based tickets of Delhi Metro will be available on IRCTC website and Android version of mobile app. IRCTC CMD Sanjay Kumar Jain and DMRC MD Vikas Kumar said that this service will be made available for passengers soon. At present, the validity of single journey ticket of Delhi Metro is only for one day. You have to buy tickets by standing in line at the metro station itself. A lot of time is wasted in this.

This joint effort of Railways and Delhi Metro will provide great convenience to railway passengers who travel by Delhi Metro after train.
