Microsoft on Friday released a new Windows 11 Insider preview building that changes the paint app and improves Windows search functionality. The new beta update is currently available to Windows Insider users in canary and Dev channels. With this, artificial intelligence (AI) features of Microsoft Paint are now available inside a new Kopilot menu. Additionally, the new cementic indexing in Windows Search also supports files saved in Onedrive. In particular, these features are coming in Snapdragon-Integrated Copilot+ PC.

The features are part of the Windows 11 Insider Preview Build Edition 26120.3073 (KB5050090) and can be accessed through Canary and Dev Channels. Tech giant has not discovered that these features can be rolled out for all users globally.
Microsoft has added several AI-operated features to the paint app over the last two years. The cocreator feature can produce AI images by taking input from the input doodle by the user. Users also get the option to control the level of AI growth for the image drawn. Similarly, the image creator is a text-to-image tool that produces images based on the text prompt and art style selected by the user.
Additionally, the paint also has a generative erease feature that users change it by eradicating an unwanted object from an image and generating backgrounds and combining it. Finally, extract background feature allows users to remove the background from any image with one click.

With the new update, all these images are now being placed inside a Kopilot menu, which is placed near the right side of the toolbar. Once clicking on the dropdown menu, all available features will appear with a brief description. In particular, the cocreator feature is available only in Copilot+ PCS.
Apart from this, Microsoft Windows is also expanding the cementic indexing facility in the search. The first preview was introduced last month, the natural language search feature would now also support photos and files saved in cloud storage of Onedrive. This feature will also be available only to Copilot+ PC users.
