AAP leader Atisi said that the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) will regularize 12,000 contractual workers in its house meeting on Tuesday.
During a press conference with MCD Mayor Mahesh Khinchi, Deputy Mayor Ravinder Bhardwaj, and leader of House leader Mukesh Goyal, former Delhi Chief Minister Atisi announced the verdict, stating that temporary workers at AAP Party -led MCD Is committed to regularizing.
“In the last two years, we have made 4,500 (contractual) workers permanent. Now, in the meeting of MCD House on 25 February, we are ready to regularize 12,000 more employees in all departments, including sanitation workers, junior engineers, Senior engineers, involving, gardeners, and other contractual employees, “he said.
Atisi also attracted a parallel with AAP rule in Punjab, where temporary teachers are being permanently created, which strengthens the party’s commitment to the rights of workers.
He said, “AAP fulfills its promises. This decision will be the greatest of its kind in the history of the city.”
Atisi also excavated the BJP, claiming that Saffron Party often makes excuses to avoid fulfilling its commitments.
“I knew that the BJP would try to avoid its promises. That is why, before being appointed as the new Chief Minister, we ensured that the Delhi government clearly presented its financial position,” he said.
He highlighted Delhi’s economic growth under AAP, stating that when the party formed the government for the first time in 2015, the city budget was Rs 30,000 crore.
He said, “Despite receiving any financial assistance from the central government, we strengthened Delhi’s economy. Today, the budget of 2024-25 has reached Rs 77,000 crore, marking the growth of 2.5 times in the last decade, “He claimed.
