When is Nag Panchami?
According to Drik Panchang, this year the Panchami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Sawan month will start on 9 August 2024 at 8:15 AM and will end on the next day i.e. 10 August 2024 at 06:09 AM. Therefore, as per Udayatithi, Nag Panchami will be celebrated on 9th August 2024.
Many coincidences will happen on Nag Panchami: This year, on the occasion of Nag Panchami, Nag Panchami will be celebrated in the auspicious combination of Shivvas Yoga, Siddha Yoga, Sadhya Yoga, Bav and Balav, Karan Yoga and Hasta Nakshatra.
Auspicious time of worship: On the occasion of Nag Panchami, the best time for worship is from 06:01 AM to 08:37 AM. During this time you can also worship Nagdevta along with Lord Shiva.
Method of worship:
On the day of Nag Panchami, wear clean clothes after taking bath in the morning.
Offer water on Shivalinga and worship Lord Shiva.
After this, paint the entrance gate of the house, the temple and the outside door of the kitchen with chalk.
Make a symbol of snake deity on it with coal or you can also bring home the statue of snake deity.
After this, start the puja and offer fruits, flowers, incense sticks, raw milk and naivedya to the snake god.
At last perform the Aarti of Nagdevta.
