In a special interview for NDTV, businessman and philanthropist Bill Gates said that India has a great ability to expand technical capabilities to save life and improve life standards.
Recalling many of his meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mr. Gates said that his foundation works closely with the Government of India and the co-founder of Infosys, Nandan Neelkani, whose work on development and implementation of biometric identity number Is, to see if something is known, the ideas that India have successfully deployed on the scale can be made available to other countries.
Referring to India’s digital public infrastructure, Mr. Gates said that India’s projects such as the base are “very strong sets of equipment”.
“The Prime Minister is trying to ensure that India takes its incredible potential and is really at the forefront … in education and health, there is much that can be done,” Mr. Gates told NDTV.
Gates Foundation works in collaboration with the Government of India and other partners on various issues ranging from healthcare and hygiene to gender equality, agricultural development, and financial empowerment of the weakest population.
Mr. Gates gave an example of storing the patient’s information and using technology to basically share it between health networks and doctors.
“… whenever you have a shortage of great doctors, the idea that you can make doctors more productive or even give information about the patient between their visits to doctors,” Mr. Gates Said.
The co-founder of Microsoft said that artificial intelligence is the main subject in health and agriculture, which PM Modi knows.
“You have many influential people who come from computer industry, and so they can follow through these things. India has also done intensive research in agriculture amid challenging weather conditions … We government goals Are able to take to see how to intensify them in the areas of health and agriculture.
