A research cooperation that includes university Partsmouth Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (PADS) Research CenterAn innovative solution is developed to make an accurate difference between fake and real images, as well as identified the source of artificial image.
Solution, known as ‘deepguard’‘, Combines three advanced AI techniques, which are binary classification, dress learning and multi-class classifications. These methods enable AI to learn from labeled data, which lead to smart and more reliable predictions.
It is a device that can be used to investigate criminal activity such as fraud, or to investigate and prosecute the images used in their stories to ensure that wrong information or inadvertent preventing prejudice.
The Deep Guard has been developed by a research team, headed by Dr. Gulelum bendiab and Yasmin have been led by Electronics Department under the leadership of Namani University of frores mentori In Algeria, and included Dr. Stavrose shials From the University Payment Research Center and Computing school
Dr. Shiles said: âIt would be a continuous challenge to spot fake images with human eye with technical abilities ever developed. The images of manipulated images pose a significant threat to our privacy and safety as they can be used to create documents for blackmail, reduce elections, electronic evidence and damage can be proved wrong, and even by adults, children can be used to harm children. “Deep Guard, and future repetitions, in a wide range of references, should prove to be a valuable safety measure to verify images, including those in the video.”
ResearchPublished in the journal of information safety and applications, will support more academic research in this field, Additional dataset available for academics,
During its development, the team reviewed and analyzed methods for both image manipulation and detection, especially focused on fake images associated with face and physical changes. He considered 255 research articles published between 2016 and 2023, examining various techniques to detect manipulated images – such as expression, posture, voice, or other faces or changes in physical features.
