Pokémon-inspired survival from Japanese Studio Pocketpere has crossed an important milestone. The developer announced on Wednesday that the game had reached 32 million players in various platforms. The Palworld Player Count continues to increase as Pocketpere faces a patent violation case from Nintendo and Pokémon Company that demands compensation for prohibition and compensation on sports.
Palwarld hit 32 million players
A year after the release of the Palworld, Pocketpere confirmed that the game was last from 32 million players in PC (Steam), Xbox and PS5. While the developer did not share different numbers for each platform, the Xbox game pass subscribers probably make a large part of those players.

In February 2024, Pocketpear confirmed that Palwarld had crossed 25 million players on PCs and Xbox, with 15 million copies of steam and 10 million players on Xbox, including members of game pass. Microsoft confirmed that Palwarld was the largest third-party game pass launch ever and was the most played title on its platforms. The game was later released at PS5 in September 2024.
In January 2024, Palworld’s record-breaking launch threw the game into the limelight as it sold six million copies within its release days. As its player Count has a balloon, sports steam has become one of the most played titles in history. Palworld is now the third most played game on the valve platform, with only PUBG: Battleground and Black Myth: Wukong is counted by an all-time peak concurrent player behind Wukong, according to SteamDB chart.
But whenever the popularity of Palworld is increasing, Pocketpere is battling a patent violation from Nintendo and Pokémon Company on the alleged similarity of the game with Pocketpere Pocemon titles. The two companies say that Palvorld violates several patent rights related to Pokémon.
In addition to the loss to the tune of 5 million (about 27.7 lakh rupees) more than Nintendo and Pokémon company Pocketpere, the JPY is demanding prohibitory orders on Palvarald.
“It is really unfortunate that we will be forced to allocate important times for unrelated matters for the development of sports due to this case,” Pokepere initially stated that when the case was filed. The developer later said that it will continue to claim its position in the case through future legal proceedings.
