Paytm has launched India’s first solar-operated payment soundbox, Paytm Solar Soundbox. This device allows traders to accept UPI and RuPay Credit Card Payment using the QR code, reducing the cost of electricity, the company said.

how it works?

Paytm Solar Soundbox has a built -in solar panel that also charges in minimum sunlight. It has two batteries – one powered by solar energy and the other by electricity.

The charge of 2-3 hours under the sunlight can provide electricity to the device for an entire day, while the electric battery lasts for 10 days without recharging. The soundbox provides confirmation of real-time audio payment through a 3-watt speaker, ensuring that traders listen to notifications, even in noise areas. It supports 11 Indian languages ​​and provides 4G connections for immediate transactions alert.

Who can use it?

Designed for small traders, hawkers, road sellers and rural businesses, this tool ensures reliable digital payments even in constant power scarcity areas.

Minister of State for Finance, Pankaj Chaudhary, stepped towards strengthening the steps and promoting stability.

Paytm CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma highlighted the company’s commitment for technology-operated financial inclusion.

Paytm recently introduced the NFC Card Soundbox, which adds NFC and QR payment to the same device. It also enables users to link bank accounts, create UPI IDs and make comfortable payments via QR code, mobile number and bank transfer.
