On 8 May, India targeted the target missile strikes on nine high-value terrorist camps of Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. New Delhi described the operation as a calibrated military action, aimed at destroying the terrorist infrastructure without raising a completely widespread enmity. In a statement released immediately after the strike, India said, “Our works have been focused, measured and non-accepted in nature. No Pakistani military facilities have been targeted. India has demonstrated considerable restraint in the selection of goals and the method of execution.”

‘Operation Sindoor’, launched at 1:05 pm on Wednesday and lasted for 25 minutes.

India said in a statement, “This government has made its promise – those who are responsible will be held accountable.”
