A team of virologists, infectious disease experts and pathobiologists from multiple institutions in China and the UK have found possible evidence that bird flu vaccinations are driving the evolution of the virus. In their study, published in the journal Science Advances, the group conducted a genetic analysis of hemagglutinin sequences from avian samples collected between 1996 and 2023.
