Rai: Rai | How ‘Principal Planning’ defines India’s Operation Sindoor

On April 24, 2025, a serious fast was made in Madhubani, Bihar, in view of 25 Indian citizens and one Nepali National, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who claimed 26 lives, in view of the horrific Pahgam terror attack: “India will identify every terrorist and behind them.”

After less than two weeks, on 7 May, 2025, India fulfilled this promise with “Operation Sindoor”, a careful planned military operations targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POK) occupied by Pakistan and Pakistan. This operation not only demonstrated India’s resolve to counter terrorism, but also demonstrated its strategic foresight in the possibility and preparation of Pakistan’s response. By coupling military precision along with diplomatic and economic measures, including suspension of the Indus Water Treaty, India has deployed itself to cause maximum damage to Pakistan’s terrorist ecosystem and its widespread strategic interests.

Promise

The Pahalgam attack executed on 22 April 2025 was a cruel attack on India’s sovereignty, which targets innocent tourists in the popular resort city. The attack responsible for an offshoot of Pakistan-based terrorist group, Lashkar-e-Tabi (late), was a direct challenge for the story of stability and peace of India in Jammu and Kashmir. PM Modi’s response was uneven, and the operation was an expression of his commitment to vermilion justice.

Launched in the earlier hours of May 7, 2025, Nine terrorist camps in Pakistan in Operation Sindoor and the exact missile strikes in the operating hub of Nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and late, Gem, and Hizbul Mujahideen in Poke-Target. The operation was described by the Indian Ministry of Defense as “focused, measured and non-esclery,”, in which no one was targeted to avoid widespread conflict growth with Pakistani military facilities. Advanced weapons, including BrahMos missiles and littering mutations, were used, reflecting India’s technical skills and strategic restraint.

Operation’s accurate scheme was clear in the targeting of the major terrorist infrastructure associated with India’s two most desired terrorists: Hafiz Saeed, Late Mastermind and 2008 Mumbai attacks, and Jame founder Masood Azhar, responsible for several attacks, including 1999 IC -814 Hizacking and 2019 pullings. MuridK, 30 km from Lahore, is headquarters since 1990, while Bahwalpur serves as the operating basis of Bahwalpur Jame in the Punjab province of Pakistan. Reports suggest that a madrasa connected to Azhar in Bahawalpur was one of the goals, which was facing significant damage.

This operation was the culmination of intelligence and weeks of coordination between India’s armed forces, which he himself looked after by PM Modi. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Defense Staff General Anil Chauhan’s head and high level meetings associated with three service heads, and three service heads made careful plans. The Indian Air Force, Army and Navy worked together, confirming the partnership of Pakistan-based terrorists in the Pahgam attack and took advantage of reliable intelligence and technical inhalation. The approach to PM Modi’s hands was clear as he monitored the operation overnight, ensuring that all nine goals were successfully neutralized.

Strategic foresight

Pakistan’s response to Operation Sindoor was on the forecast lines. Immediately after the attacks, Pakistan violated the ceasefire with the Line of Control (LOC), which was involved in indiscriminate firing killing three citizens. Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif called the strike a “Act of War”, indicating a possible growth.

However, India had estimated such a response and turned it into its strategy. The government’s decision to provide “complete operational freedom” to the armed forces ensures flexibility to combat any Pakistani aggression to decide the time, target and response time. The Indian Air Force is conducting a two -day mega military exercise along the border, which includes frontline fighter jets such as Rafael, SU -30, and Jaguar, indicating readiness for any growth.

Beyond military attacks

India’s strategy is spread beyond the battlefield, taking advantage of diplomatic and economic measures to maximize the pressure on Pakistan. The suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty announced immediately after the Pahalgam attack is a masterstroke in this regard. The treaty signed in 1960 allocates 80% of the Indus basin water to Pakistan, which is important for its agriculture and economy. By suspending the treaty, India has indicated its intentions to use water as a strategic tool, a trick Pakistan called the “Act of War”. The long-standing desire to re-organize the Treaty of India, combined with its post-Atac resolution, gives benefits to disrupt Pakistan’s water security.

Additional measures include closure of attic border crossings, cancellation of visas for Pakistani citizens, banning Pakistani ships from Indian ports, suspending postal services and implementing a digital blackout on Pakistani media channels. India has also reduced diplomatic relations, expelled Pakistani military advisors and reduced the employees of the High Commission from 55 to 30 May. The aim of these stages is to separate Pakistan diplomatically, economically and culturally, increases the effect of operation vermilion.

A new paradigm in India’s anti -terrorism strategy

With Operation Sindoor, PM Narendra Modi has fulfilled his promise to carry forward the criminals of Pahalgam attack to the end of the earth. The exact goal of the operation of terrorist hubs associated with Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar outlines India’s intelligence abilities and military skills. By estimating Pakistan’s vengeance and coupling military action with strategic measures such as the Indus Waters Treaty suspension, India has designed a comprehensive approach to cause maximum damage to Pakistan’s terrorist ecosystem and its widespread interests.

As Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar said, “The world should show zero tolerance for terrorism.” Operation Sindor is not just a reaction to an attack, but a bold statement of India’s resolution to reopen the regional security paradigm. With Nation United and Armed Forces on high alert, India is ready to counter any challenge, ensuring that the martyrs of Pahalgam get the justice they deserve.
