Jaipur:
The Rajasthan Legislative Assembly on Friday called BJP MLA Gopal Sharma a ‘Pakistani’ as Congress MLA Rafiq Khan.
During the debate on the demand for UDH grant in the Assembly, noise scenes were seen when Khan began criticizing Sharma on his speech and allegations against senior Congress leaders.
Shri Khan was comparing Congress and BJP rule on urban development works.
During this time, the BJP MLA stood up and started saying ‘Pakistani-Pakistani’, in which Congress MLAs strongly opposed.
Due to this there was an uproar in the house. Chairperson Sandeep Sharma intervened and asked the members to settle.
Mr. Khan excavated Sharma and said that it was speaking some time ago. During this time, Mr. Sharma stood up and started speaking and later called the Congress MLA ‘Pakistani’ several times.
Mr. Sharma also commented on Congress President Mallikrajun Kharge. When the Congress MLAs objected to this, they apologized as the chairperson objected that he could not name anyone who is not a member of the House.
Mr. Sharma later accused the other late Congress leaders and then apologized. Rafiq Khan excavated this, after which there was an uproar in the assembly.
