Mice who have both genetic parents have survived adulthood for the first time. However, with other things, achieving this essential broad genetic modification, which can never be tried in people.

These are not the first mammals with the same-sex parents-mice were first built in 2004 with mothers, and when unusually smaller, they lived for more than normal. But it has proved to be more difficult to make rats with two father.
