The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced that it will soon release the Mahatma Gandhi (New) series and 100 and and 200 sect banknotes, which will affect the signature of newly appointed Governor Mr. Sanjay Malhotra.
The design of these new banknotes will remain unchanged and the Mahatma Gandhi (new) series will be similar to the current ₹ 100 and ₹ 200 notes. The introduction of these banknotes is a regular process after the appointment of a new RBI governor.
The Central Bank has also confirmed that all ₹ 100 and and 200 200 sect banknotes will continue to be the legal tenders. The prevalence has no effect on the validity of old banknotes.
The RBI issues new currency notes with updated signatures of the support governor, ensuring stability in the monetary system at time -time. New banknotes will be released soon.
