US President Donald Trump has added three Indian-Americans to lead roles in his second term. Ricky Gill will hold the responsibilities related to South and Central Asia as Senior Directors in the National Security Council (NSC). Saurabh Sharma has been appointed to the President’s Personnel Office, focusing on staffing and appointments.

Ricky Gill

International relations expert Ricky Gill has returned to the National Security Council (NSC), where he first served as Director of Russia and European Energy Security during Trump’s first term. Apart from his work at NSC, he served as a senior advisor in the Bureau of Overseas Building Operations of the State Department.

After leaving the administration, Mr. Gill led the Gill Capital Group as the Principal and General Council and worked as an advisor on European and Asian Energy for TC Energy, the company behind the Kestone XL pipeline. The project, partially approved by Trump, was stopped by Joe Biden.
