Samsung has allegedly started pushing the May software update into its latest Galaxy A series devices, including the Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A26. A major attraction of this update is a new feature for the side or power button, which now allows users to use Gemini quickly. Press-and-hold shortcut functionality for Gemini was previously limited to the flagship Galaxy S series smartphone. As Samsung promised, this feature is now expanding to the Galaxy A series friendly to the more budget with the May update.
As Informed By Sammyfans, Samsung is updating a new software to the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36 that enables Google Gemini access through the power button. This allows users to launch the AI ââassistant by pressing and holding the side button. The AI ââfeature operated by a UI7 is allegedly reaching the eligible handset with a security patch May 2025.
Galaxy A26 is also Go to To get this software update. Users can allegedly optimize the side button setting To match their preferences. They can either launch Gemini or stick to Bixby.
Additionally, updates are asked to bring support for cross-app functionality. Apps such as calendar, notes, reminders and clock now integrate with Gemini. Users can now work in these apps by providing voice commands with Gemini.
Samsung announces AI side button feature for Galaxy A-Series
Samsung had Promise Recently select the Galaxy A series device including the Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A26, will soon support AI auxiliary activation through the side button in early May.
