Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) in Odisha has announced a scholarship in memory of 20 -year -old Nepali student of Private Engineering Institute, Provision Lamsal, who allegedly died of suicide in his hostel room on 16 February in the premises .
The announcement was made by the insect and which founder Achuta Samanta on Wednesday, who met the father and uncle of the deceased student, who, according to a statement issued by the institute, presented his deep condolences.
“A scholarship will be established as a tribute to his memory in Lamsal’s name,” said Mr. Samanta.
Senior officials of Nepal’s New Delhi Embassy also met the students of their country on Wednesday, assuring them that similar incidents would not be repeated.
The statement said, “Pest has taken active measures to facilitate the return of those who are not yet back.”
Mr. Samant also spoke to Nepal’s Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba and Water Supply Minister Pradeep Yadav, assuring him that the kit is committed to ensure the safe return of all the students.
Officials said on Wednesday, on Wednesday, the body of the deceased student was flown in Nepal after completing legal formalities.
