Scientists identify 11 genes affected by PFA, highlight neurotoxicity

Per- and polyphlorinated alkile substances (PFAs) earn their “chemical” monicar forever by remaining in water, soil and even human brain. This unique ability to cross the blood-brain barrier and accumulate in the brain tissue makes PFAs particularly related, but their neurotoxicity should be further studied.
