Quantum simulation is an important target for many-body systems atoms and high-energy physics. Many-body problems include systems that contain many micro particles that interact at the level of quantum mechanics. They are more difficult to describe than simple systems with just two particles. This means that even the most powerful traditional computers cannot follow these problems.
