When will Pradosh Vrat start?
According to the Panchang, the Trayodashi date of Shukla Paksha of Sawan month will start on 17 August 2024 at 08:05 am. Which will end on August 18, 2024 at 05:51 am. Therefore, according to Udayatithi, Pradosh Vrat will be observed on Saturday, August 17, 2024. Since it falls on Saturday, it will be called Shani Pradosh Vrat. Preeti Yoga and Ayushman Yoga will also be formed on this day.
Time of Pradosh Kaal Puja: On this day, the auspicious time for Pradosh Kaal Puja is from 06:58 PM to 09:09 PM.
Method of worship:
Wake up before sunrise in the morning on the day of Shani Pradosh.
After bathing, wear clean clothes and clean the temple.
After this, start preparations for the worship of Lord Shiva.
Collect puja materials and spread red or yellow cloth on a small platform.
Now install the statue of Shiva family at this post.
Offer fruits, flowers, incense sticks and Nevaidya to Lord Shiva.
After this, perform aarti of all the gods and goddesses including the Shiva family.
Offer water on Shivalinga and if possible, keep a fast on fruits throughout the day.
After this, start Shiva puja in the evening during Pradosh Kaal Muhurta.
Offer all the puja materials including Ganga water, raw milk, Aak flowers, Belpatra and hemp on Shivalinga.
Chant Lord Shiva’s seed mantra ‘Om Namah Shivay’ in your mind.
