A new study from the Medical Faculty at Hebrew University in Jerusalem highlights how the speed of bacteria affects the spread of antibiotic resistance. Under the leadership of Professor Sigal Ben-Yahuda and Professor Ilan Rosenshin from the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetic, the research exposes a direct connection between the rotation of the Flagella of the research bacteria-the activity of the structure-and genes used for the resolutions that enable the DNA to transfer the DNA.
